Pennsylvania has had perhaps the most coverage of any senate race in 2022. A Democrat chance to flip a Republican seat, a close and competitive race and one candidate’s celebrity status have fanned the flames until the eyes of the nation were fixed to Pennsylvania. Oz holds a tight grip over the white demographic giving him a substantial starting point, while Fetterman firmly holds the less numerous minority votes. Gender is split as though along a mirror, with men favoring Oz by 50% vs 40% while women favor Fetterman 50% vs 40%. Finally, education is broken down in typical fashion, with those with less education heavily leaning for Oz while those with at least a bachelor’s degree going to Fetterman. When all factors are added, we find completely different groups of people who hold almost equal amounts of voting power. This election will be extremely close and could go either way, the most likely deciding factor will be the turnout based on gender. Our rating of the Pennsylvania 2022 Senatorial election is: Toss Up with a slight GOP lean. Oz to win by 0.7 points.
